A QUICK NOTE BEFORE LISTENING:
This book is a guide to help you improve your running, your health, and your quality of life.
You may have never related some of the topics in this book to injury before. In each chapter, I will walk you through how some of these overlooked areas can hugely increase your susceptibility to injury and your health if left unchecked. I will also list some key tips to help you improve on each pillar of health, helping you reduce injury potential.
So, before delving in, please have a read of the points below to help you set up to gain the most out of your listening.
Where possible, have a pen and pad to hand. If you are listening while driving or running, please take a mental note of 1 or 2 things you wish to remember for later while listening.
Pick one area you think you would like to work on at a time. Don’t stress about trying to implement everything in this book all at once. Slowly work toward improving one area and then once you feel you have built that into your routines sufficiently, then move on to the next area and so on.
Start with the low hanging fruit. Pick one thing that is super easy to change and roll with that. Once you begin to feel the difference, then use that momentum to pick something maybe more challenging for you, then work on that area next.
Try pausing between each chapter, take a moment to think about how you might work on this area of your world. There will be many actionable tips throughout the book, pick one and give it a try.
Please feel free to pass this book on to friends, family and loved ones even if they do not run. It is a book aimed at runners, but everyone can gain from listening to the ideas in this book to improve health and quality of life.
